Global Education is not what we do, it is who we are.
- where History students can discuss the intricacies of WWII with a German, Russian, Singaporean and/or Ukrainian
- where speakers of assembly are heroes who’ve changed the world in their own ways
- where having an exchange student from Italy, Finland, Switzerland and/or Japan is a normal occurrence
- where traveling to those same places for exchange is always an opportunity
- where sport becomes a common language
- where a local field trip involves visits to refugees and asylum seekers
- where students learn to become responsible and active global citizens
Global Education allows students to understand the relationships between their own community and others around the world. It is one of the foundations of which Stewards Pooi Kei College mold students as tomorrow’s leaders.
This is how we do it:
- by challenging students to think broadly
- by providing opportunities for personal exchanges with those of other cultures
- by equipping students with the skills and etiquette to connect with others appropriately
- by giving students a chance to create life-long ties with those from other cultures
