It takes a village to raise a child. SPKC is grateful to have the support of great companions who provide us unconditional support.
Stewardsis a registered Christian charitable organization founded in 1962. It is a member of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service and the Community Chest of Hong Kong.
Since its inception, Stewards has grown into a vibrant Christian service agency employing over 300 full-time staff serving thousands of local people in various health care, educational, social & community facilities in different locations throughout Hong Kong.
The role of Stewards in the educational field started back in the early 1960s with roof-top schools. Since then, all these roof-top schools have been replaced by new and modern purpose-built facilities.
Today, most of the schools and kindergartens are located in large Government housing estates with high-density, high-rise apartment blocks. Stewards believes in holistic education, developing the academic, physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual potential and capabilities of the students. We aim to nurture young people to become valuable members of society.
There are 6 schools under the organization of Stewards, which are Stewards Pooi Kei College (Shatin), Pooi Tun Secondary School (Diamond Hill), M.K.M.C.F. Ma Ko Pan Memorial College (Tuen Mun), Pooi Kei Primary School (Shatin), Pooi Yan Kindergarten (Tseung Kwan O) and Pooi Chun Kindergarten (Ma On Shan)
The Honourary General Secretary of Breakthrough, Dr Philemon Choi, has long been the Advisor of the School and the linkage between the two parties are close.Every year the School invites Dr Choi to give sharing to the S1 parents so as to prepare for a good start, as well as cooperate with Breakthrough and Abundant Grace Church providing parents talks.
