World Vision Day – SPKC Orbis Ambassdors

2024-10-10

October 10, 2024 was World Vision Day. The SPKC Orbis Ambassadors took the opportunity to promote the critical importance of eye care. The ambassadors have designed three banners to introduce what the SPKC Orbis Team is, to teach Pooikeinians about eye exercises, and to encourage the consumption of nutritious foods for eye health during lunchtime.

One of the banners listed all the nutritious foods for eye health. The ambassadors even bought tomatoes, arranged them nicely, and distributed them to Pooikeinians as healthy ‘after-lunch desserts,’ reminding them of the importance of consuming vitamin A-rich foods for good eyesight.

There were boxes for Pooikeinians to guess the items inside. This activity reminded them that if they didn’t take good care of their eyes, all they could do was touch the items but not see them. They wouldn’t want to miss out on experiencing the beautiful things in this world.

Pooikeinians were attentive to the sharing from the SPKC Orbis Ambassador and learned much more about daily eye care. They were taught to be more mindful of their food intake and eye exercises, as well as to avoid spending too much time on electronic devices.

It was the first activity of the SPKC Orbis Ambassadors, and it was both fun and educational. The SPKC Orbis Ambassadors have planned several more eye care activities for Pooikeinians this academic year to ensure that all Pooikeinians can maintain good eyesight in the e-learning era.
