The Fourth Staff Professional Development Day (4/6/2025)

2025-06-04

The fourth and final Staff Professional Development Day of this academic year was successfully held, with the theme of “Annual sharing of SRL, School Self-evaluation & KLA-based Development”. The event began with a morning worship, setting a positive and reflective tone for the day ahead.

Following the worship, our pioneer teachers, Miss Joyce Ng, Mr Jimmy Wong, and Mr Edison Chan, shared their valuable experiences from the 4-day Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) training course they attended in Taichung last December. Their insights have greatly enhanced our understanding of self-regulated learning and its potential to transform our students’ learning experiences.

After the SRL sharing, our principals presented the findings of the School Self-Evaluation, which provided a clearer picture of the current situation at our school and the areas that require further improvement. The entire staff team discussed in groups to share their insights and collaboratively drew the roadmap for future development.

In the afternoon, our teachers engaged in KLA-based activities, fostering collaboration and sharing of best practices within their respective disciplines. These activities allowed our teachers to delve deeper into subject-specific strategies and resources, further enhancing the quality of teaching and learning in our school.

This Staff Development Day has not only strengthened our commitment to SRL and school improvement but also promoted a culture of continuous learning and professional growth among our teachers. We believe that the insights gained and the collaborations formed during this event will have a lasting positive impact on our school community.
