The 18th Annual Speech Day
The 18th Annual Speech Day was held with great success on 18 June 2026 in the school hall, despite adverse weather conditions that included two Black Rainstorm Warnings. Nevertheless, the venue was filled with hope, laughter, and joyful tears, marking a memorable milestone for our outstanding graduates.
The ceremony commenced with an inspiring address by our Principal, who reminded the graduates that “life goes on whether you are ready or not.” Our Principal expressed hope that all Pooikeinians would understand that life is always filled with unexpected challenges, wishing that each of them would keep themselves well-prepared to embrace these challenges every single day.
The event was then turned over to Mr. Lam Wai Hon, Joint General Secretary and Agency Head of Breakthrough Limited, who took the stage to lead the proceedings. Mr. Lam delivered a highly inspiring speech, sharing three profound personal reflections to encourage all Pooikeinians and help them move forward: to embrace trial and error boldly, to make brave choices, and to be kind. The ceremony also featured the presentation of awards, honoring students for their outstanding academic achievements and exemplary leadership. Afterward, the Graduate Representative delivered a heartfelt valedictorian speech, reflecting on the challenges of the pandemic, the demands of rigorous examinations, and the cherished memories of school life.
The event concluded on a high note, with beaming smiles all around. Graduation is not an end, but the beginning of a bright new chapter. Congratulations to all our graduates! Go forth and shine brightly in the world!
