S1 Parent Child Day
Starting secondary school is a major milestone filled with fresh opportunities and new challenges. To help S.1 students and their parents build a stronger connection and navigate this transition together, SPKC partnered with Abundant Grace Church and hosted an S.1 Parent-Child Day on September 19th.
Our Principal, Mr. William Lee, extended a warm welcome to all families at the event. He highlighted the vital partnership between the school and Abundant Grace Church, reassuring parents that both institutions stand ready as supportive allies in nurturing our Pooikeinians. His message reinforced the vital role community plays in guiding families through the secondary school journey. Pooikeinians participated in exercises with their parents to experience the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
Interactive mini-games gave students and parents the perfect opportunity to team up, share laughs, and build joyful memories together.
Through fun team-building activities, students sharpened their communication skills and formed deeper connections with one another. These engaging exercises encouraged real collaboration, helping students build meaningful friendships while developing key interpersonal skills.
Pastor Au and former principal Mr. Peter Yuen shared heartfelt advice with families, emphasizing how crucial open communication and mutual support are when navigating the secondary school journey.
Families pledged to walk hand in hand over the next six years, committing to support one another through every step of their children’s educational journey and personal growth.
