| The 13th Putonghua Public Speaking Competition for Primary and Secondary Schools 2011 is one of SCOLAR’s Putonghua promotion activities this year. It was organized by the Cultural and Educational Association of the New Towns. This year, over 1,700 students participated in the event. |

| Vivian Jiang (5J)performed outstandingly in the first two rounds of the competition and won the Gold Award of the Senior Secondary School Section of the New Territories. On top of this gold award, she won the First Runner-up of Hong Kong in the final. |

| Besides Vivian, Vincent Chu (3J) and Rammie Chui (3P) participated in the junior secondary school section of the same competition. Both of them performed well. Vincent and Rammie got Merit Star Award and Merit Award respectively. |

| 「第十三屆全港中小學普通話演講比賽2011」為語常會本年推廣普通話的活動之一，由新市鎮文化教育協會主辦，今年共有超過一千七百名學生參加。 |

| 本校中五喜樂班的江佳維同學在初賽及複賽中均表現出色，獲得新界區高中組的金獎，更在總決賽中勇奪全港總亞軍。 |

| 另外，中三喜樂班的朱子謙同學和中三和平班的徐樂雯同學在初中組比賽中的表現也不俗，分別獲得優異星獎和優異獎。 |
