We are glad to unveil the magnificent new mural, “Mural Painting 2.0” now bringing color and life to our 2nd floor hallway. This project is a testament to our students’ creativity and collaborative spirit, as they drove every stage of its creation from the very first idea to the final brushstroke. This vibrant artwork reflects the foundation of creativity at SPKC, showcasing the unique talents of our students.
A Journey in Three Stages, Led by Students
This masterpiece was born from a truly student-led process:
1. Brainstorming the Vision:
Our students’ vision is the heart of this mural. Inspired by the surrounding trees and ball elements in the hallway, students bring out different ideas and meanings in their drafts. They think of their talents, joyful memories, and growth to represent their journey.

2. Sketching the Blueprint:
With a vision in mind, the students took to their sketchbooks, collaborating to translate their abstract ideas into a tangible design. They worked together to draft the composition and refine the details that would guide the final painting.

Using the grid method to scale their draft, the students carefully outlined the artwork on the wall. They then brought the entire vision to life by applying bold, vibrant colors, completing the mural together.

The main focus of the mural is about a journey that starts with a tree symbolizing creativity and education at SPKC, representing growth and support for young minds. While the students, represented as diverse stars, ascend into the canopy. This connection to the clouds illustrates their ultimate transformation and success as they prepare to soar into the future.
