This year’s LEWOWA continued to empower Pooikeinians with life-changing experiences, nurturing them into globalised Christian leaders with a deeper understanding of the world and themselves.

Diverse Learning Journeys Across the Globe

This year’s programmes offered incredible diversity and depth, with Pooikeinians embarking on journeys of cultural exploration, personal growth, and skill development.

  • In Japan, Pooikeinians climbed Mount Fuji, pushing their physical and mental limits to witness the stunning Goraikou sunrise, a journey that built resilience and teamwork.

  • In South Korea, Pooikeinians immersed themselves in the life of a K-Pop idol trainee, attending dance and singing workshops and experiencing cultural performances like the Korean Gugak concert.

  • In Vietnam, Pooikeinians taught orphans, engaged in sustainable farming practices, and explored Ho Chi Minh City’s cultural landmarks.

  • In Spain, Pooikeinians marveled at the works of Velázquez, Picasso, Dali, and Gaudí in Madrid and Barcelona, deepening their appreciation for art and architecture.

  • In Eastern Europe, Pooikeinians visited Prague, Kutná Hora, Hallstatt, and Königssee, balancing cultural discovery with fieldwork on preserving heritage and natural beauty.

Diverse Learning Journeys Across the Globe

The LEWOWA experience culminated in a vibrant Exhibition Day, where students proudly shared their achievements. Highlights included a lively K-Pop dance performance inspired by the Rhythm of Seoul programme, a music video screening featuring student-composed songs and lyrics, and a stunning catwalk show of Cheongsam, where students modeled their handmade traditional garments. Interactive displays and presentations further showcased the lessons learned across all programmes, encouraging students to inspire and learn from one another.

LEWOWA 2024/2025 was a truly transformative experience, broadening horizons, fostering creativity, and nurturing Pooikeinians into compassionate, globalised Christian leaders ready to make a positive impact on the world.
