Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) SPKC Visit and Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
On 7 October 2024, our school signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) International, Vancouver, Canada, confirming our future partnership.
Ms Carole St. Laurent, Associate Vice President of KPU, met with our Principal, Mr William Lee and other colleagues, after which they proceeded to a campus tour. She then gave a short further study talk for S4 to S6 non-local curriculum students.
In the study talk, some students who had met Carole in the 2023/24 LEWOWA Vancouver programme seized the opportunity to ask her advice about further study in Canada. She was blown away by our students, saying, “It would be an honor for KPU to welcome your students. They are certainly poised to become future global leaders. I was greatly impressed by SPKC’s dedication not only to providing a solid academic foundation for your students but also to instilling strong values that nurture globally minded individuals.”
We look forward to arranging further virtual and face-to-face meetings between our staff and students.
During the school visit, our Vice Principal, Mr Jimmy Tse, and Assistant Vice Principal, Ms Doris Leung, provided background information about our school and students. Ms Jovi Ma, Head of Careers and Life Planning Education Committee, joined Ms Pinky Ng, Head of Admission and Public Relations, and Mr Simon Leung and Mr David Tobin (Head and Deputy Head of Global Education Committee) to discuss further collaboration between KPU and SPKC.
