Jail Visit to Lo Wu Correctional Institution

2016-06-16

To let students know more about the work of Hong Kong Correctional Service and to promote the prevention of juvenile crime, 16 students were invited to participate in the “Rehabilitation Pioneer Project” on 16 June for a jail visit.
16 S.2 to S.5 students visited the Lo Wu Correctional Institution on 16 June 2016
Under the scheme, students were introduced to the facilities in correctional institutions such as dormitories, dining halls and workplaces. Besides, they were arranged to meet with the rehabilitated person. By listening to the experience of them, students were inspired to ponder on the serious consequences of committing crimes, thereby achieving the purpose of one life influencing another. Students are able to develop positive values towards life and become responsible and law-abiding citizens after joining the visit.
