Inspiration in Action: Learning from Elite Athletes

Thank you to Mrs. Tam and Ms. Cherry Li for accompanying six students to the Jockey Club Sports PLUS Community Programme – Elite Athlete Sharing event. Our students had an incredible time and were truly inspired by the elite athletes who shared their journeys.

The guest speakers included:

– Dr. Leung Hung Tak (Senior Lecturer, Department of Health and Physical Education, The Education University of Hong Kong)
– Ms. Chan Hoi Lam (Manager of Athlete Affairs – Athlete Education, Hong Kong Sports Institute)
– Ms. Lee Wing Si (Asian Games swimming silver medalist and founder of a sports public relations company)

In addition to enjoying the experience, the Pookeinians learned valuable lessons about perseverance, teamwork, and dedication from these remarkable speakers. They were thrilled to participate in the quiz competition, where they excelled and won the top three prizes! This achievement not only showcased their talents but also sparked newfound motivation among their classmates to engage in future events and strive for excellence.
