AI-5000 Workshop Kicks Off
The first session of the AI-5000 Project Workshops, held on 11 October 2025 (Saturday), was successfully completed, marking an exciting start to a transformative learning journey for our students. Jointly organized by Preface, an EdTech company, and Project Melo, a local charity organization, the AI-5000 initiative aims to equip 5,000 secondary school students across Hong Kong with essential AI knowledge and skills. Our school is proud to be one of the participating schools, with 32 S.4–S.5 students joining the program.
The inaugural workshop, themed “Empower Learning with AI”, featured an inspiring sharing session by Mr. Kenny Lam, CEO of Two Sigma Asia Pacific. Students explored real-world AI applications and gained insights into the evolution of AI through OpenAI’s Five Stages of AI Development Framework. The session not only sparked curiosity but also built confidence in applying AI for learning, creativity, and productivity.
We look forward to the upcoming sessions on 8 and 29 November, which will further deepen students’ understanding and application of AI tools.
