LEWOWA2526-05 Graffiti
Welcome to LEWOWA 2526-05 Graffiti Creative Summer Camp🎨🖌️, a 5-day adventure where students trade pens for spray cans!
With decades of rich tradition as a core element of hip-hop culture, graffiti remains one of the boldest ways to express oneself. The objective of this camp? To help students channel that raw creative energy into mastering authentic street art.
Led by instructors boasting over 15 years of graffiti experience, the programme kicks off with an eye-opening street art tour at D2 Place, Lai Chi Kok. Students then dive straight into production mode, creating an epic haul of take-home souvenirs. The photos above show how students represent the art before we learn how to draw. But no worries1 The curriculum covers stencil spraying, English and Chinese throw-up fonts, customized miniature brick walls, and intricate wild-style canvases.
For two and a half days, the camp takes over the Cattle Depot Artist Village. There’s absolutely zero air-conditioning—because real graffiti demands that gritty, authentic street vibe! This massive space is perfect for collaborating on a giant 2m x 4m group mural and hosting a nerve-wracking 1.4 x 1.8m individual live painting competition.
The camp wraps up with a lively final-day exhibition. Many parents came out to cheer on the fierce live competition, and some even grabbed spray cans to try graffiti themselves! It is undoubtedly a highly demanding, sweat-filled week, but it remains one of the few programmes where students walk away with unforgettable memories and a massive collection of their very own masterpieces.
