Staff Development Day (May)

2026-05-29

On 29 May 2026, our school held Staff Development Day V in the School Hall, focusing on the theme of School Self-Evaluation (SSE). As we approach the conclusion of our current three-year School Development Plan, the day provided a meaningful opportunity for all staff to reflect on our shared accomplishments and strategically plan for the future.

The programme began with Opening Worship and Sharing, setting a reflective and thankful tone for the day. Through moments of gratitude and collective reflection, colleagues revisited key milestones and growth achieved over the past three years, reaffirming our shared commitment to student development.

Following this, presentations were conducted on the findings across the four SSE domains:

Domain 1 – School Management and Professional Leadership

Domain 2 – Curriculum & Assessment and Student Learning & Teaching

Domain 3 – Student Support and Partnership

Domain 4 – Attitude & Behaviour and Participation & Achievement

After listening to the detailed reports for each domain, staff engaged in group discussions to analyse strengths, identify areas for enhancement, and explore practical directions for improvement. The professional dialogue was constructive and forward-looking, reflecting our shared responsibility in sustaining school development.

In the afternoon session, staff worked collaboratively to propose development priorities and strategic goals for the next three-year cycle, grounded in the evaluation findings and our students’ current needs. Thoughtful discussions generated strategic directions aimed at strengthening academic excellence, enhancing student support, and fostering holistic growth.

Staff Development Day V served not only as a platform for reflection and evaluation, but also as an important milestone in shaping the roadmap for our school’s next phase of development. With unity of purpose and professional dedication, we look forward to building an even stronger learning community for our students in the years ahead.
