| On 5th March 2010, at Baptist University, Shek Mun Campus, was a great occasion in the relatively short history of the English Debating at SPKC. Our English Debate team comprising Roxana Li [6J], Matthew Lo [6J] and Dennis Ng [6F] performed very well. We won the 1st runner-up in the NESTA – South China Morning Post Inter-School Debating Competition against HKMA David Li Kwok Po College. To reach the final, SPKC had won its previous 7 rounds with their first debate in the competition being in February 2009. Other team members who spoke in earlier debates were Ronny Au [3J] Jacqueline Hsiao [4J], Benedict Kung [5P] and Jessica Tam [5F]. This was a magnificent achievement for our young school and we are fast becoming well-known in Hong Kong debating circles. |
