A Resounding Success in Career and Life Planning Programs

2024-07-14

To empower Pooikeinians to take charge of their personal growth and career development, a series of engaging and impactful life planning programs had been hosted. These events were met with overwhelming enthusiasm and positive feedback from the participants.

The Human Library was a unique experience where our Secondary 5 students had the opportunity to engage in conversations with our dearest alumni from diverse backgrounds and career fields like customs and filming. These “human books” shared their inspiring stories, insights, and lessons learned, providing Pooikeinians with a deeper understanding of the world around them and the possibilities that lie ahead.

The interactive quiz show challenged Pooikeinians’ knowledge on multiple study pathways and a wide range of careers. The friendly competition and lively discussions fostered an environment of learning, encouraging students to expand their horizons and explore new areas of interest.

The Mission in Prison was a thought-provoking and impactful workshop. Students visited the Ma Hang Prison and gained a deeper understanding of the rehabilitation process by acting as correctional officers to conduct investigation tasks and challenges among check-points.

The Being a Dubbing Artist Workshop allowed participants to flex their creativity and communication skills. Students were given the chance to dub over short video clips, experimenting with different voices, emotions, and theatrical techniques.
