To promote the importance of mental health during Mental Health Week, the Student Wellbeing Committee (SWC) organized a variety of activities from 6th to 10th October this year. Our aim is to raise awareness about mental health issues and provide students with tools to support their well-being.
Throughout the week, we were honored to have invited a few guest speakers from Suicide Prevention Services (生命熱線) to hold talks for S1-6 students on how to handle challenges while maintaining good mental health.
Youth Online Stewards and Open Up were also invited to set up game booths during the week, helping students understand their emotions.
In addition, the SWC collaborated with the Global Education Committee (GEC), and the CES and PE departments to organize a comprehensive series of lunchtime activities aimed at increasing students’ awareness of mental health.
To deepen students’ understanding of emotions, SWC utilized the moon as a metaphor, illustrating how it goes through various phases. This signifies that everyone has strengths and weaknesses, encouraging students to embrace their vulnerabilities.
