School-based Gifted Education Talent Pool

2024-12-02

The school upholds the belief that each student possesses a unique set of talents waiting to be discovered and nurtured. We strive to create a supportive environment where each and every student can flourish and unleash their potential. One of the initiatives through which we achieve this is our School-based Gifted Education Talent Pool programme, specially designed for our gifted and elite students.

Central to our approach is Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences, which proposes that students develop different intelligences across various stages of their educational journey, including Verbal-Linguistic, Logical-Mathematical, Musical-Rhythmic and Harmonic, Bodily-Kinesthetic, and Interpersonal Intelligence.

We offer pull-out extension programmes and advanced learning opportunities designed to foster students’ creativity and higher-order thinking skills, empowering them to harness their intelligences in various domains. From mentorships and forums, to workshops and competitions, our tailored programmes offer students the platform to explore their interests, collaborate with peers and showcase their multifaceted talents across different disciplines.

At the annual Talent Pool Ceremony, our Vice Principal, Mr. Jimmy TSE, presented certificates to our Talent Pool students, acknowledging their remarkable abilities and unwavering commitment to excellence.

Our alumnus Ms LAU Wai Man shared her valuable learning experiences with our Talent Pool students, offering them insights and inspiration for their academic and personal growth.

Throughout this academic year, our Talent Pool students will embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery and exploration, immersing themselves in new avenues of knowledge and honing their unique talents. Through the School-based Gift Education Talent Pool programme, we aspire to nurture a generation of tomorrow’s leaders with character and intelligence, who are poised not only to shape their own future but also to make a positive impact on the world around them.
