Introduction
 
Under the development of the New Senior Secondary Curriculum (NSS), the strong emphasis of Other Learning Experience (OLE) and our dreams of training well-rounded students; a clear and firm structure of co-curricular activities and student leading groups was created. This school year, four goals (3E1R) have been set to strengthen and enrich the growth of co-curricular activities.
 
CCA Goals 2009 – 2010
 
  1. Equip CCA student leaders in terms of team-building, problem-solving, leadership training and positive self-concept
  2. Empower student leaders and leading groups
  3. Ensure the training and learning quality of current CCA teams and clubs
  4. Raise the sense of belongings to House
 
Position of Teams and Clubs
 
To respond to the school theme ‘Excellence and Integrity’, students are highly encouraged to strive for splendid performance in both academic and non-academic aspects. Clear positions of teams and clubs have been defined:
 
  1. CCA School Team
    4 Key Areas: Physical Development, Music, Languages, Community Service
    Position: CCA School Teams are the school representatives which participate in different competitions and strive for excellent achievements.
  2. CCA Interest Club
    2 Key Areas: Academic and Other Interests
    Position: All interest clubs provide at least 8 hours of quality activities / meetings / functions to foster students’ interest in different aspects throughout the year.
  3. III. School Service Team
    9 Key Areas: Student leadership, Character-building, Discipline and Counseling, Career Guidance, Environmental Protection, Spiritual Formation, Language Promotion, Library Management and School Publication
    Position: School Service Teams serve the school and fellow school-mates humbly and reliably in the name of Jesus Christ.
 
Team / Club Policy
 
All S1 to S4 students should be a member of at least one of the teams/ clubs in school but no more than three. The recruitments of Music teams and Sports teams usually will be held in July and September every school year. Referred to OLE system, self-managed CCA Hours Record and Service Hours Record will be done by students sustainably. Students should dedicate at least 25 CCA Hours and 10 Service Hours every school year. Grading and award system are offered.
